Una interrogante que nos hacemos pocas veces, al iniciar un negocio, es ¿Qué queremos lograr? Creemos que, con saberlo y desearlo, es suficiente.
Pero si nos sentamos a pensarlo, a ponerlo sobre papel, descubrimos que, para conseguirlo, necesitamos ir conquistando varios objetivos con determinadas características y condiciones, paso a paso.
Establecer Metas y Objetivos SMART, nos va ayudar a describir estos objetivos claramente, para poder avanzar.
¿Cuantas veces pasas de la idea a la acción, sin planificarte mucho, sin definir metas y objetivos claros?
Pues a todos nos pasa en algún momento. Es la naturaleza humana quererlo todo para ya. Luego resulta que nos decepcionamos, porque lo que obtuvimos, no era lo que queríamos. Resulta que nos olvidamos del proceso natural para que todo funcionen.
Para convertir una idea en acción, primeramente, debes observar a tu negocio, EXPLORAR cómo está hoy, dónde se encuentra en general, y vincularlo contigo, saber qué quieres, pero no tienes en tu negocio y viceversa, para entonces convertirlo en una meta.
Luego toca ENFOCARTE en un objetivo determinado, donde poner toda tu energía, porque como ya sabemos, “el que mucho abarca poco aprieta”.
Una vez enfocad@ podrás elaborar una meta con objetivos lo más claros y sólidos posibles, a eso le llamamos SMART, por sus siglas en inglés, o en buen español, basado en el acrónimo de META.
Para el emprendedor, es imprescindible que sus objetivos y metas sean Medibles, Específicos, Tangibles y Alcanzables.
La metodología SMART nos ofrece pautas para definir de forma correcta nuestros objetivos, y ayudarnos a conseguirlos. Nos hace preguntas para establecerlos a partir del qué, cuánto, cómo, para qué, cuándo y pasar a la acción.

Por ejemplo. No basta con plantearnos hacer ejercicios para perder 10 kilos. Eso no es claro, ni medible ni específico. No se acerca a lo que es una meta. Sin embargo, perder 3 kilos los próximos dos meses yendo al gimnasio tres veces por semana, pues ya eso es algo sólido, es tangible y además alcanzable.
De esta manera vas visualizando tus objetivos, comienzas a sentirte con confianza y tu motivación crece. Cuando eres productivo, innovador, incorporas nuevos conocimientos, técnicas, y sientes que avanzas, entonces lo estas consiguiendo, felicidades, has comenzado a alcanzar tu META •
